Animal Cruelty? What!

What is up with the recent amounts of animal cruelty photos and videos? If you really are one of those animal abusers, please don’t document your story. It makes you extremely stupid, and uncool.

I never understood those who took pride and joy in giving pain to an animal by either setting them on fire, or skinning them alive or just beating them. Really? How inhumane can you get? Just because they are animals, it doesn’t mean they don’t have feelings. How would you like it if someone else skinned you alive or burned you alive? I bet you it isn’t a nice feeling. Animals feel pain too; they are just unable to communicate to us in a language we understand. 

I have had gerbils and one of them was the a sickly one. She was so sick at the pet store, her eyes couldn’t open, her ears had dried blood crusted around it. The pet store realized my interest in a small animal and gave her to me for free as long as I bought the other parts of a gerbil “home”. They said, word per word, “She is most likely not going to last the next few days, we can’t guarantee anything.” Well, perhaps I like to surprise people and astonish them. I spent ridiculous amount of time to treat her; no pet store manager is going to stop me! She recovered from her infections WITHOUT a vet visit. Within 3 weeks, her eyes were big and bright, her crusting was gone and she was a happy playful gerbil. Well point of this is to say that animals are beautiful things; they company you when no one is around. They are the happiest when they are around their owners and they couldn’t be happier elsewhere.

Those who take advantage of their feelings and nature angers me. I wish we could treat animals a bit more loyally; face it, after a long day of work, who’s going to be the first to give you a hug right after you come through the door? Your mom or your dog?

I met him through another friend; the first time we talked was on MSN, and then we met in person a month later.

-he’s super corny but sweet
-he cares a lot; he plays a MAJOR role in my life
-he likes to eat a lot, but he likes it the best when we eat together
-he generally can’t survive a day without talking to me
-he would drive out in the middle of the night just to see me for 10 minutes 

05. Make a list of the things you like about your boyfriend.

-he misses me whenever I’m not physically beside him
-he talks to me 24/7, via text, skype, MSN or phone
-he calls me beautiful, pretty etc. even though I know I’m not
-he lends a shoulder for me to cry on, even if I cry for the silliest things
-he won’t ever say anything rude
-he would drive over to my house which is at most 20minutes away, just to see me for 2 seconds
-he tells me about my faults, and together we fix them, instead of him, complaining and we, arguing

We went to a festival. And tried out ALL the food there.. and became extremely broke. But it was tasty and fun!

Usually, we meet and just talk about life; if not, we game at his place. If it’s during the school year, it’s studying.

Someone who cares about me no matter what; and supports me when I’m down, instead of saying cold, blunt facts about my imperfections. 

Love: when a person can still say you’re beautiful, even on your shittiest days.

OH WELL. point is, I love him :)

it is THAT hard to find a person who won’t judge you behind your back.

You think that they are truly your friend.. but then, you’ll come to realize that they were just snickering behind your back when you weren’t looking. I learned my lesson and I really don’t want to go through this again.

Lobster in PEI. 

Chocolate Chip Cookies
From Mrs. Fields

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup C & H dark brown sugar (firmly packed)
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup cold salted butter, cut into cubes
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 cups (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 300° F.
2. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well with a wire whisk.
3. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer blend the sugars at medium speed.
4. Add the cold butter and mix to form a grainy paste, scraping down the sides of the bowl. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix at low to medium speed just until blended. Do not over mix.
5. Add the flour mix and chocolate chips and blend at a low speed just until mixed. Do not over mix.
6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet, two inches apart.
7. Bake 20-22 minutes until golden. Transfer cookies immediately to a cool surface with a spatula. You can line sheets with parchment and transfer to a cold surface to do it faster.

Makes 30-36 cookies, depending on the size of your scoops.

Do you know how it feels to walk by someone you once loved? do you know how much it stabs you in the heart? I understand the pain, I understand the hardship, but I think about it, do I really want to risk myself again?
Thinking it over, I vowed to leave it as that, because what’s the point ? She’s not going to stop lying, she’s not going to change, for me. As much as I had helped her, she didn’t appreciate it, it was simple as that. And that’s fine with me, cause I believe it’s time I walked away. I gave her too many chances, more than she could handle. I must love those who are worth it. Simple as that.

And that’s what I shall do. I’ll love all those that deserve to be loved. Those that deserve my time and my appreciation. I don’t want anything to change; I never wanted any of my friendship to change in the first place. I was foolish to not take note and to walk away from the source from the beginning. Forgive me. But, I guess this is it.
